The Heart of a Worshipper - Accurate Intercession
Power is released when you pray what is on the heart and mind of God!
In 2 Samuel 27, David expresses his heart felt desire to the Prophet Nathan to build a house for the presence of God. The Prophet encourages David to do all that is in his heart. However, that night God speaks to the Prophet Nathan. Nathan then relays a message from God to David. The Word enables David to accurately intercede the heart of God. Were David’s intentions wrong? I don’t believe so. His plan was admirable, just not accurate.
In this season, it is imperative to know what God desires to release, in order for the world to witness the never-ending government of God. King David understood a key principle of being able to unlock the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. He reveals his secret in Psalm 49:4, "I fine-tuned my ear to the sayings of the wise, I solve life's riddle with the help of a harp.” The release of prayer and worship, based on what God has said, has the ability to shift atmospheres and create environments in which God is able to produce extraordinary enduring results. Prophesy in scripture is often accompanied by music. In fact, the absence of music and singing were associated with a place of captivity or bondage (Psalm 137).
The Apostle Paul understood this principle as well. In I Corinthians 14:15, he declared, “I will pray with the Spirit and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the Spirit and I will sing with the understanding also." As we merge our worship and our intercession, with the help of the Holy Spirit, it will bring us to a place where He will reveal the wonders of His person. Worship and intercession that is released out of relationship empowers us to accurately release the Kingdom of God in earth as it is in heaven.
